Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man: New Animated Series Gets a Poster Reveal

Disney+ has unveiled a brand-new poster for Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the highly anticipated animated Spider-Man series exclusive to the platform. Previously titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year, this series promises a fresh take on the beloved web-slinger’s story. Check out the poster below!

Unlike previous Spider-Man adaptations, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, it offers an intriguing concept: a story that could theoretically fill the timeline before Peter Parker’s first appearance in Captain America: Civil War.

In this alternate narrative, Peter is shown settling into his apartment when Tony Stark arrives, offering him an internship and inviting him to join him in Berlin. By this point, Peter is already more experienced in his role as Spider-Man.

While You Wait for the Animation

Fans eager to dive into more Spider-Man adventures can revisit Tom Holland’s live-action portrayal of the hero. The Spider-Man trilogy (Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home) showcases Peter Parker’s journey as part of the MCU.

Additionally, Holland’s Spider-Man plays a pivotal role in the final two Avengers films, Infinity War and Endgame. All five movies are available to stream now on Disney+.
